æther :: a half-assed about page is up.

æther :: since pages are taking a really long time to get around to and I do want to write medivh, here comes a starter & interaction call; aka if you like this, I’ll bother you and also try to conceive a starter when possible.
((welll, I mean, yeah. All the leylines and shit. But I thought they were going to be in the Broken Shore? Cause it shows up on the map there. It might just be hovering here for the pre patch?))

æther :: oh, i mean, there was data about Dalaran being moved to hover over Kara some time ago, as well as rumors about renovating the instance itself. I can’t wait to see it for myself!

æther :: also i want legion to get a cultural development it deserves bc demons existed in the twisting nether before azeroth even had a mass large enough to be called a rock. ‘n before that asshole sargeras overtook it for his stupid-stupid mission of ‘let’s burn everything’. obviously, it will get none and i will get more things to bitch about during the expansion.

æther :: I am yet to see how things will be handled in game, but it makes no strategic sense for the legion to make fortifications prior to the full-scale invasion. years of scouting, bribing, and sabotage were done - the only foothold they need to secure is the broken isles. from there it’s all pretty much Golden Horde - divide and conquer, throw in mobile siege weapons and burn what you do not take with you. in all honesty, strategically, it should be impossible for Azeroth to survive this unless division happens in the Legion itself. I mean, even Illidari are only good for precision strikes in the nether. so it’s that or Sargerass and CO are gonna be shit ass leaders.
you know another thing that makes no sense? throwing a divided army, without any central command, at an overwhelming and largely unknown enemy force. I mean, it only works in local and small scale conflicts. stage changes completely when you are facing an invasion force that has a lot of resources. laugh it up, but if you look at war with Napoleon and Second World War, the tactics implemented were largely based on drawing enemy deeper into your territory, where the advantage of the home terrain can be taken. sending a party with both leaders to the front line was … insanely stupid, I don’t know guys, if this was not a fairy tale, we’d be all doomed.
